Summer 2016 holds some exciting next steps. Our Proposed Summer 2016 Projects represent the beginning of a long line of tangible and visible outcomes of the first issuance of Measure U. The Proposed Summer 2016 Projects are pending approval by the Board of Trustees. Final award of construction contracts is anticipated to take place in late June 2016.

The Proposed Summer 2016 Projects are categorized as “quick start” projects. Unlike most of the other Measure U projects that are larger and more complex, “quick start” projects do not require approval from the Division of the State Architect in order to get started and can be constructed during the summer months. The selection of these projects is based solely on that criteria.
