Groundbreaking Ceremonies for New Classrooms
Today, Carpinteria Unified School District ushered in Measure U and broke ground on construction of the Gen7 modular classrooms at Canalino/Carpinteria Family School, Carpinteria High School and Carpinteria Middle School. The interim housing projects completed at all three campuses during sum-mer 2017 projects paved the way for these important projects. The total cost of construction of these classrooms across all three sites is just over $12.6 million.
The Gen7 classrooms will be a visible milestone towards accomplishing the number one priority out-lined in the Facilities Master Plan – replace worn and outdated portable classrooms with permanent structures.
